Janey’s Web Pre-school and Out-of-School Club is situated on the site of Adel St John the Baptist C.E. Primary School in Leeds.
The purpose-built facility is located behind the main school and is surrounded by the large school playing fields.
The new room was specifically designed in 2002 to provide space for an independently run pre-school and out-of-school club, managed by Janey Webb.
A large selection of toys and activities has been provided to stimulate the interests of all the children who attend ‘The Web’. Every weekday morning from 9 am -12pm, the room is used by up to 25 pre-school children aged 2 ½ to 4 years old. The pre-school is OFSTED registered and the staff follows the National Curriculum Foundation Stage guidelines (see link below to view recent OFSTED reports).
At 3.15pm – 6pm, every weekday evening, up to 32 children aged between 4 and 11 use the room as an after-school club. Please read the Pre-school and After-school club sections of this website for further details regarding these areas of Janey’s Web.
Janey’s Web has its own enclosed playground area, separated from the school grounds by a brightly coloured fence! The children are able to make use of the whole playground in all weathers.
We aim to create a happy, safe and caring environment in our setting at Janey’s Web. Children are encouraged to play interactively with one another and staff are on hand to set clear and reasonable limits to ensure a feeling of security. In this way, while acquiring many practical and intellectual skills, the children learn a sense of responsibility for themselves, earn respect for others and the ability to co-operate and share.
If you would like to make an appointment to view the facilities and meet Janey and her team, or talk to them about sending your child to Janey’s Web, please view the ‘Contact Us’ section of this website, where you will find our address, phone numbers and email address.
We look forward to meeting you and hope you enjoy visiting Janey’s Web on the World Wide Web!! Check out the photograph pages to view some of the activities that take place here!
